NHK Spring Develops New RFID Technology
April 28, 2006
Japanese NHK Spring has developed a new RFID technology, which can read and write 80 IC cards and tags simultaneously, by optimizing the form and structure of the RFID antenna embedded in the cards and tags. The improvement prevents the cards from interfering with each other while not increasing production costs. In addition, NHK Spring plans to come up with a new product by integrating the newly developed antenna with regular RFID ICs and it expects to start selling this new model by September 2006. The new model can read any IC compatible with the ISO 15693 and ISO14443 standards.
